Balmar CFII-12/24 Centerfielder II Charge Balancer – Twin Engine Alternator Control Module

The CFII-12/24 Centerfielder II is an advanced twin-engine alternator charge balancer designed to synchronise dual charging systems into a single coordinated output. Engineered for vessels with twin propulsion engines and external smart regulators, the Centerfielder II allows both alternators to work together efficiently, delivering combined charging power to a shared house battery bank.

By monitoring port and starboard voltage regulators, the Centerfielder II designates a dominant regulator and distributes field control to both alternators. This eliminates regulator “yo-yo” cycling and alternator chatter, ensuring smoother charging performance and improved battery charging efficiency in multi-engine installations. ()

Key Features:
• Balances twin-engine charging systems for unified alternator output
• Combines charging current from two alternators into one house bank
• Eliminates alternator chatter by unifying field current
• Automatically isolates systems when only one engine is running
• Includes upgraded regulator power wires and fused protection
• Compatible with external Max Charge regulators only ()

Technical Specifications:
Model: CFII-12/24
System Voltage: 12V / 24V DC
Application: Dual engine, dual alternator charging systems
Compatibility: MC-612, MC-614, MC-618 and MC-624 external regulators
Function: Field control distribution between twin alternators
Mounting: Inline regulator interface module ()

Charging Control & Operation:
When both engines are operating, the Centerfielder II identifies a master regulator and splits its excitation signal to both alternators, allowing combined amperage output while preventing regulator conflict. When a single engine runs, the system automatically isolates the inactive alternator to maintain stable charging behaviour. ()

Ideal For:
Twin-engine powerboats, multihulls, commercial vessels, high-capacity lithium house banks and marine charging systems requiring coordinated alternator control.

The CFII-12/24 Centerfielder II provides a simple and effective solution for synchronising dual alternator charging systems, improving reliability, reducing regulator interaction issues and maximising available charging power for modern marine electrical installations.
